Childcare Apprenticeship - Deysbrook Village Pre-school

Deysbrook Day Nursery is a 42 place nursery situated in the West Derby area of Liverpool.

The Nursery is open from 8.00am – 6.00pm, Monday – Friday, 51 weeks a year.

The Nursery is a single story building and has a baby, toddler and pre school room.

Our Ofsted Inspection was 1st June 2016 receiving a Strong Good.

Working Week

Monday - Friday, shifts TBC.

Total hours per week: 37.50

Vacancy Description

Support and assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the setting

Under supervision, you will support a safe, caring, exciting, challenging, and stimulating environment in the setting, that is appropriate for individual children and enables them all to reach their full potential

Complete all assignments that are set, attend college as required, and liaise with appropriate mentors/support staff

Have knowledge and understanding of all children in their care and of the practice within their room, at all times

Help and assist children who need help with all activities, including health and self-care, as appropriate to the needs of the child

Work in partnership with all parents/carers, to ensure that all children, including those with additional needs are fully supported and intergrated into the nursery and encourage them to participate in their child's progress and development

Under supervision, to help monitor, observe, assess, and plan for children's development in their room, keep accurate and up-to-date records of their achievements, progression, and any develpmental concerns, as appropriate

Desired Skills

Good numeracy and literacy skills are an advantage

You must have good IT skills, as the patient records and appointment book are computer based, although training will be provided

You will be expected to be able to deal with any patient in a caring, professional and competent manner, so good interpersonal and customer service skills are essential

Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Personal Qualities

We are constantly dealing with the public and patients are often nervous, making a professional and caring manner essential to the role of Dental Nursing

We are a forward-thinking practice, and the successful candidate will need to be hardworking and willing to learn

Punctuality and reliability are essential to the smooth running of the practice

Good organisational skills are also required
