ANSWERS
1. How do NVQ's and Apprenticeships differ from traditional courses?
All NVQ's are competence-based - in other words you need to show that you can do your job properly - and take into account your previous experience. They are flexible qualifications which allow people to work at different speeds, although you will be encouraged to progress quickly through your qualification.
2. How long will it take to achieve my qualification?
This all depends up on the qualification you are on and your own commitment to the training programme. Typically, you should look to achieve an Apprenticeship programme within 9-15 months. The Advanced Apprenticeship programme will take a little longer and should be achieved within 18-24 months.
3. What qualifications do I need to start a training programme?
No formal qualifications are required - but motivation, commitment and enthusiasm are essential
4. What training do Alder Training deliver?
We deliver NVQ and Apprenticeship training in Health & Social Care, Dental Nursing and Childcare.
