Train to Gain is a service for businesses which provides help to identify and source training that will improve the skills of their workforce and their business performance.
It aims to encourage employers to invest in the development of the skills and qualifications of their employees. It is particularly concerned to increase the proportion of adults in the workforce with level 2 qualifications and good basic skills as well as supporting the development of higher level skills.
Who Is Eligible For Train To Gain?
Train to Gain is primarily aimed at people who do not currently hold a level 2 qualification and who are employed, although people who currently hold a level 2 are now eligible for the training.

Improving people's basic skills through Skills for Life qualifications
NVQ Level 2
NVQ Level 3 - where the learner has not achieved a level 2 qualification but is capable of progressing directly onto NVQ 3
Costs Of Train To Gain
The training is free for people who wish to do a level 2 qualification.
Level 3 training is also free for people who do not already have a level 3 qualification
Employers with less than 50 staff may also be entitled to a wage contribution for people who are on Train to Gain.
