Dental Nursing - Entry to Employment (e2e) (Dental Nursing)

Content
This is a training and education programme designed to equip young people with the skills and knowledge that will help them become independent, self-motivated and ready for employment.

Within the programme you will have the opportunity to try dental nursing to see if it’s the right vocation for you.

The programme covers the following dental related topics:

	Dental procedures
	Oral health education
	Practical sessions on mixing materials, instruments and chartingFirst Aid
	Health & Safety

There is also some generic training which include such topics as:

	Basic & Key Skills
	Confidence Building
	Personal Development Training
	Citizenship
	IT
	Team building exercises
	Interview & Workplace Skills

Delivery
The programme will be delivered over a 22 week period and will include a part-time placement within a dental practice. It will be a mixture of real work experience and teaching and training sessions, delivered by Alder Training’s experienced and professional training managers and supported by dentists across Merseyside.

Achievement
Upon successful completion of this programme you will achieve an outcome which will be individual to you. Successful completion of the programme may enable you to gain a place on the Apprenticeship programme and help you progress your career further.
