Content
The Dental Nursing NVQ 3 Programme is a training and education programme designed for learners who have successfully completed their dental nurse NVQ 2 or Apprenticeship (or have significant work experience) and would like to progress further within the dental profession and become a qualified dental nurse.

The programme contains the following topics:

	Dental charting
	Orthodontic charting
	Radiographs
	Restorations
	Periodontal disease
	Advanced Health & Safety
	Sterilisation and Disinfection
	Oral health education
	Equality & diversity
	Prosthetics
	Endodontics
	Practical sessions

Delivery
The programme will be delivered over an 18-24 month period and will include a full-time work placement or employment in a dental surgery. It will be a mix of real work experience and teaching and training sessions delivered by Alder Training’s experienced and professional training managers and supported by your dentist.
