We have recently completed our 2009 Employer Survey. From the 289 questionnaires that were sent out to employers across the region, we received 186 completed questionnaires back – which is a fantastic response.

The aims of the survey were:
To find out what you think of the service we provide.
To assess how satisfied you are with various aspects of the training process.
To assess the impact we are having on your business through training.
To identify how we can improve our service to you.
Overall, the feedback was very good, with the vast majority of employers rating us as satisfactory, good or outstanding for each question. The highest scoring areas from the survey were:
Flexibility of the training provided by us in meeting your business needs.
Support given by us to the individual learners.
The quality of our relationship with you.
Effectiveness of the training on your staff performance.
Effectiveness of training on meeting your business needs.
Areas that were identified by you as things you would like to see improved include:
Communicating with you on the content of the training programme and how we will deliver the training.
Keeping you informed about future training opportunities.

We are currently working on improving all aspects of the business, focussing particularly on the areas you have identified in the survey. We are also in the process of responding to individual issues and queries that were raised during the feedback.

We plan to continue to use this type of survey, but increase the frequency from an annual survey to a six-monthly survey, allowing us to pick up issues quicker and provide timely responses.

Overall, it was very pleasing for us to know that employers feel that the training we provide is meeting your business needs and is having a positive impact on your business. An overwhelming majority of employers would recommend Alder Training to another employer – which is great news!

Once again, thank you to all the employers who took the time to provide us with some feedback about our services, which is helping us to improve as an organisation. We look forward to developing our relationship further and supporting each other in the years ahead.
